Storytime: In summer of 2019, I was fired and told to pack up and leave in a matter of 2 weeks for no reason.
I decided I was never going to let my fate be in someone else’s hands.
And I won’t say its been easy. First the pandemi*, then multiple business visa fights, then bureaucracy, then banks not willing to give foreigners credit, then navigating a new language and laws – it was a LOT.
And I’m really fucking glad I didn’t give up, because now my company makes more profit than this 10yo company that fired me.
Not only this, I get to enjoy my own work-life balance, travel often and pick and choose who I work with – no more toxic peeps allowed.
