In this new feature, we interview our students from Pinfluencer Academy on their motivation to start their side-hustle or business.
Our mission here at Digital Empires is to help new and aspiring entrepreneurs grow their business and we are so excited to share this interview with our alum, Lisa.

Tell us more about your business + you!
I have a few different passions. I worked for the largest medical lab in the world (Quest) for about 11 years so I love science and health topics. I started a blog about health issues. I have a blog on the laboratory world and helping people understand general lab results.
Of course, I’m building up my blogs. I have a YouTube channel about countries of the world doing an overview. Later in my career I switched to teaching English as a Second language online for about 12 years and I have a YouTube channel to help improve communication and a course that I am finishing up. My motivation is flexibility. I never want to go back to a 9-5 job. So I am slowly building up my brands.
What are you most excited about in your side hustle or business right now?
I’m excited about the possibilities and my potential reach. Once I can see a steady income coming in from my projects I feel I can live anywhere in the world. I hope to move abroad and then I won’t need to worry about finding work.
How has Pinfluencer Academy helped you?
0 to almost 80K monthly views. I never used Pinterest. Been on the site a few times in the past. Never created pins. I have the knowledge to create great pins, uses ads and drive traffic to my sites and blogs to grow.
Looking back, what would you tell yourself if you were just starting out?
I would tell myself to keep going and keep re-evaluating my true interests.
Where can we find you online and on Pinterest?
